Workved Technologies Private Limited ("Workved", "we", "us", or "our") operates the workved.com platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and password when you create an account.
  • Business Information (Vendors): Company registration details, GSTIN/Tax ID, brand name, business type, product categories, logo, and past project portfolios.
  • Company Information (Buyers): Company name, size, industry, office address, state, city, and PIN code.
  • Project Data: Office layout specifications, space requirements, furniture selections, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) details you create on the Platform.
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, support tickets, and any other content you send through the Platform.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, time spent on pages, and interaction patterns.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, and screen resolution.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Session cookies for authentication, preference cookies for settings, and analytics cookies to improve the Platform. See Section 6 for details.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication data from Supabase Auth when you sign in.
  • Business verification data from public registries (e.g., GSTIN validation).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features.
  • Process your office fitout projects, generate BOQs, and facilitate furniture procurement.
  • Verify vendor accounts and business credentials.
  • Connect buyers with verified vendors and facilitate B2B transactions.
  • Send transactional communications such as order confirmations, project updates, and account notifications.
  • Send marketing communications if you have opted in (you can opt out at any time).
  • Improve and personalize your experience on the Platform.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Vendors and Buyers: When you create a project or inquiry, relevant business information may be shared with the other party to facilitate the transaction. Vendor profiles (company name, brand, product categories, ratings) are publicly visible on the marketplace.
  • Service Providers: Third-party companies that help us operate the Platform, including cloud hosting (AWS/Supabase), email delivery, SMS services, payment processing, and analytics.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Workved, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in India and managed through Supabase and AWS infrastructure.
  • We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.
  • Uploaded files (logos, PDFs, product images) are stored in encrypted object storage with access-controlled URLs.
  • While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via email preferences or your notification settings.
  • Data Portability: Request your project data and BOQs in a machine-readable format.

6. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for up to 90 days for backup purposes and as required by law (e.g., financial records, tax compliance). Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

The Platform is primarily operated from India. If you access the Platform from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to India.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also send you an email notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
